BBTB Challenge

Front of Card

Inside

Close up of Front

I made this card lastnight after I saw the challenge over on BBTB.I think I'll name it "Spring Chick" the challenge was to use the word "SPRING" from the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. The pictures don't show it so well but the word spring is elevated on pop dots and I used the Gelly Roll by Sakura to outline the flowers on the front for just a subtle bling.
I used the White out/Explore Collection kit from We R Memory Keepers that I picked up at Archiver's around Christmas time from thier $1.99 bargin bin. I also used some skittles, Cloud 9 design raindots, American Crafts ribbon,Gelly Roll by Sakura, Tim Holtz Distress ink (peeled paint), Colorbox Chalk ink (yellow ochre), Quickutz Chick, and Bazzil cardstock. And of course I used the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge and a brown Cricut marker.

I hope you all enjoyed today's postings. Stay tuned I'll be posting a project that I have been spending a considerable amount of my free-time on the past two weeks soon...

Yippie It's working now...

After my last post about girl scout cookies I decided to add a page the scrapbook that I am making all about me. I got this idea from a magazine a few years ago, I figure this way if someone wants to know about the lady behind the scene there will eventially be a book all about her :) Being that my biggest weakness is Somoa's as you read this page honors my weakness for them.

Girl Scout Cookies are Evil!

I thought I would just share my thoughts with you today. The title is only fitting today, I ate a WHOLE box of samoas this morning while I was on the cricut message board. Yummy roasted coconut, gooey caramel and a little bit of chocolate all on a delicate cookie, who can resist? I am very much an out of site out of mind kind of gal when it comes to food but not when we have these in the house, good thing they only come around once a year!

I have not made it to the craftroom yet today but I have done 6 loads of laundry even folded it, cleaned the fridge, washed the dishes, showered, had a whole pot of coffee and dusted the house! This is what happens when I'm either mad or nervous and today I'm nervous! My husband is interviewing for a new job that he and I very much want, this is his second interview and it is ALL day long from 8-4:30 with a community tour, meet and greet with parents after school and on and on.... I can't wait to hear from him, I know he is doing great he is an awesome interviewer but I still can't help but be nervous for us.

Finally a Layout!

So I love the look of scrapbooks, but when I sit down to make a page I always come to a road block. I do have several books of my own but I only seem to get a page done every couple of months. On this layout I wanted to display our family photo, the first one to include my adorable son :) I am very pleased with how it turned out...

I found the paper I used on this layout at one of my favorite but not so local scrapbook stores in Baraboo, WI, The Memory Bank. The owner of the store is wonderful and has a great selection of paper and quickutz!
