Trick or Treat, Smell my feet...

Here is my first Halloween card this year! I love these papers and super fun stamps.... The adorable little spider is from the Paper Doll Dress Up cricut cartridge.
They are:
Purple card base: Bo-Bunny
Happy Halloween Strip and sentiment matting: Adornit by Carolee's Creations
Green (behind spider's web): Stamping Station- Lime Green Swirls
Sentiment Stamp: Stampendous Cling Rubber- Trick or Feet
Spider's Web: Inkadinkadoo- Creepy Crawly
I also added some purple skittles and diamond, lime green and yellow stickles.
oh, and I almost forgot about the spellbinders die cuts!

Now check out this fun little guy!
I got the idea from the fabulous DeeDee Campbell over at Scrappin' with DeeDee. For instructions on how to make him please visit her blog. She makes amazing cards and is a constant inspiration to me :) This reminded my husband of the christmas dolls his grandma used put out every year made of folded magazines. Hmmm, that might be a way to recycle all of those dated craft magazines that have piled up in the corners of my closet.

Paper strip pumpkins Anyone?

I like these because they are more seasonal and I can leave them out for all of fall. Which by the way hit us like a brick wall two days ago :( I got the inspiration for these from an example at the store I work at, Scrapbook and Stamping Memories, stop in and visit us and see all of the other ideas we have! These are easy peasy to make and quick too. Cut strips of paper 1 inch wide and ink the edges for definition, punch holes in the same spot on every strip on both ends. Use a brad and pile your strips on then stick a piece of ribbon on top before you open your brad up. Now bow your strips up and bring your ribbon through the hole from bottom to top and tie in a knot at a length to keep the bowed form to the strips. Spread out your strips and adorn the top with a pumpkin stem and some paper thin paper strips that you curl around a pencil. I attached the stem and strips with some zip dry glue, I am in love with that stuff.

Last but not least a fall card

Carrying on with the festive mood I've been in the past few days is a fall card. I decided to make my own patterned paper for this one. To do this I used versa mark and some Stampendous embossing powder. I thought that the changing of seasons sentiment on the front of the card was perfect for the weather we had yesterday with a freeze over night.

The supplies are as follows:
Stamps: Inkadinkadoo- All Hallow's Eve (pumpkin)
The Angel Company- sentiment
Hero Arts-Friends forever- embossed swirl (on background)
Paper:
Double Mates- Chocolate Malt
Archivers- lime green and Bazzill-orange (don't know specific color name)
Stickles:
green, lime green and copper
Stampendous- stampin' stuff stardust embossing powder
Tombow markers.

Ok now my never ending post will end :) I hope you all enjoyed looking today!

Blog Candy Pictures

Ok girls here is what you have all been waiting for, this is what I picked up for one lucky winner while I was at the Fiskars warehouse sale yesterday. That place was a zoo! I have never seen that many people there before. My mom and I actually stood in line for 2 hours before we couldn't stay any longer then drove 1.5 hours back to my house picked up my son, dropped off the babysitter and then went back to pick up our goods. The people we were standing in line with were just loading up their vehicles to leave, that means they must have waited at least 5 hours in line to check out. When my mom and I went back in we only waited about 45 minutes because everyone was gone by then.... I can't imagine the women who were standing there with kids!

That Smile

I made this page just a few days ago with all of the wonderful smiles of my son! He is such an expressive little boy :) I used My Minds Eye and Bazzill papers for this project. Lots of inking, a few rain dots, stickles and some cricut design studio top it off to make a pretty fun page if you do ask me. Special Thanks to Diane at Capadia Designs for the full page scalloped edge.

How fun is this?

Wow, I'm so excited! Its like Christmas coming to my blog now :) I can't believe that SusanBluerobot and Laurinda actually took the time to come see me, little ole me!! I knew some free stuff would make people look, lol! Just in case you don't know Fiskars is the maker of Cloud 9 Design and Hiedi Grace as well as all of the wonderful fiskars tools. Fourth of July

Every Forth of July our home town hosts a professional rodeo. The parade is always close to 2 hours long with lots of horses, cows and tractors. This was the first year that Ian was old enough to enjoy and understand what was going on. He loved collecting the candy and was mesmorized by this huge bull. We had so much fun at the parade and then the small BBQ afterwards with family and friends, can't wait till next year.

Father Daughter Dance

Well like I said getting my new job encouraged me to update some of my albums and I realized how many wedding photos were never scrapbooked. So this is a photo of my Dad and I dancing to "Butterfly Kisses" by Bob Carslile. Hence the silver butterflies on the page.
This page was a pretty quick page to make because I used a jollees boutique sticker for the title. I stamped the inkadinkadoo butterfly in versamark and then embossed with silver powder and I'm not sure who the crystals are from behind them, they are an old treasure from my stash. Sorry about the picture quality of this page.

*Remember you can click on any of the pictures in my posts to see a larger version*

A few scrapbook pages

Alright, here we go on to scrapbook pages! The first layout is our family Christmas Trip that we took closer to Easter in 09. We visited the Chula Vista water park and resort in Wisconsin Dells.

We visited the Chula Vista water park and resort in Wisconsin Dells. Ian had a blast at the water park, the little man has no fear of water!

The paper you see is from Cosmo Cricket's snorkel collection. I think Cosmo Cricket has some of my favorite papers on the market right now! I used my Cricut and Design Studio to make the large arrow and then I Cuttle bugged it with the tiny bubbles A2 folder. I also used the mini monograms cartridge for the matting behind "family vacation". All the stickers are from the paper collection pack, I might have blinged up a few though :)

I hope you enjoy! I'll post some more on Sunday...

With This Ring

I have to say that even if I don't get the job at the local scrapbook store at least it motivated me to update some of my scrapbooks. I have been married for 4 years and I finally got around to working a little more on our album :)

I wanted this page to be very simple to accentuate the black and white photo. I thought that a plain white background would do that the best then I found the green and white Basic Grey paper from the "porcelain" collection hiding in my stash, perfect! I added my quick quote and metal letters at the bottom, which I think I might have had since before we got married, LOL well at least I'm using up some of my stash too :) Now I'll feel better about buying new stuff if I get the job! Anyway here is the page I came up with.

Pictures for the Purse

Hey all, I found this fun little project when I was browsing the web one evening looking for some inspiration. I thought it would be a perfect way to show off my favorite people at my 10 year class reunion. (Go figure, then I forgot to put it in my purse.) This book was made from one sheet of 12x12 paper, super cheap and quick to make. Here is the address that I found the directions at... http://scrapbooking.about.com/od/layouts/ig/Mini-Book-Layout-and-Sketch/and here are some pictures of what I came up with, Enjoy!

Jenna & Dustin's Wedding Invitations

This was my biggest project for the summer! I made 150 of these for Jenna and her soon to be hubby. They turned out beautifully and my lovely cricut and design studio did most of the work for me :) I love my Bug!!!! I used George and Basic Shapes and Story Book to make this trifold invite for them.
***These pictures don't do them justice, they look way better in person!***

If anyone is ever interested in me making invitations of any kind please let me know!I can make them alot cheaper than you would ever pay in a store!! I can do Birthday, Anniversary, Wedding, Thank You notes.... You get it, if you want it I can make it :)

Family Faces Book

Slowly but surely I will get all of the things that I have made this summer up here for you to view, but I think I will start with projects.

This is a project that I made for my son so that he would be able to recognize faces that he might not see that often. Let me tell you how mad I was at myself when I got the latest copy of Creating Keepsakes from my mailbox and saw an extremely similar project within their pages. That could have been me!! (grrr..)

This project was super easy to make thanks to a pad of 6x6 Basic Grey paper and matching ribbon. I think its the "recess" collection. To make the pages more book like I used the thicker cardboard that comes in packs of paper. (Reuse, Recycle!) I also laminated this book to make it kid friendly. The colored rings are from the office aisle at Walmart. And finally the cricut cartridge I used for the names was cuttin' up.

Topiary Tree

I'm so overwhelmed with all of the projects that I have to share with you I'm not sure where to start... So I choose this topiary tree that I made recently. I saw this tree online in Michael's idea gallery a while back but the paper strips where much wider than mine. I thought it would look better with more paper strips but didn't realize how much work it would be. It really was quite fun to make though :) Hope you enjoy! My husband even liked this project when it was done.
