Simply Sunday

Happy Sunday blogland and Getting Cricky Fans :)  I hope you are all in good health and spirits while you read this today! I am super sleepy as I write this on Saturday night so I am going to keep things short and sweet for you today. I am away running errands as you read this buying party supplies for my Best friends going away party on Sept. 10th (Oh I'm going to miss her more than she will ever know!)  and looking for an outfit for my son to wear to my brothers wedding next weekend Sept. 3. So enough ramblings about my life and on to the things you are really here for anyways, lol. Though I do enjoy holding your attention captive, bwahahahaha.

This week Kristal asked us to inspire you with projects that had a "wings" theme. I of course used one of Kristal's newest stamp sets Wings and Things. You can find it here in her online store at www.kandrewdesigns.com.

Wind beneath my wings shape card
Since I am on a kick to use up my scraps this card is made entirely from there. I used my cuttle bug and one of my spellbinder die to create this fun shaped card.

Let your dreams take flight card
This card I am in love with! Love I tell you. Mostly because I used my most recent scrap store purchase, Authentique Paper. Isn't that flower pattern sooo pretty and the yellow wood grain, what isn't to love? I used my K Andrew Design Art Stamps and a little Unity Stamp Co. lovin' as well.

Alright ladies, I can't keep em' open any longer. I hope you all have a wonderful day!!! Oh, wait one more thing. Will you all pray that we get an offer of the showing of our house today? Please, pretty please? Thank You!!

Kristal will donate $1 for every stamp set sold, retail or wholesale to the charity noted; and over time believes this will add up to some wonderful miracles for these special people. Its a party Simply Sunday

Hello Getting Cricky fans, welcome to my Simply Sunday post! I hope you are as excited about Kristal's new design team and stamps as I am. Welcome to all our new girls, Deborah Foti, Janice Wilson, Faith Freeman, Shawn Mosch, Lisa Fish and Jan Lewis I hope you find your new home in the bloggy just as warm and welcoming as I have over the last 3 months :) Congrats to all of us on the DT who have stayed from the last term as well! If you would like to take time to visit everyone I will include a link at the bottom of my post.

This week for our Getting Cricky challenge the design team has been asked to share some sort of party favor with you. I decided to make a fun little spa package inspired by my spa date with a girlfriend this Saturday. I went to our local salon school and had a facial done by a student for super cheap, Yippie!

Here is what I came up with for you :)
Spa day pillow box (cut with Silhouette)
This fun little pillow box is large enough to hold a bottle of nail polish and toe separators. I can also picture this done up in some fun little girly colors for a girls overnight party, how fun would that be??  Alas, I have boys so I will have to wait for a niece, hahaha!

Now don't forget that this coming Friday is our Getting Cricky blog hop and live ustream at 9pm Pacific time. I sure hope you will join us for the ustream with all of Kristal's designers and then follow us to the blog hop for some inspiration.

Now here is a link to all of our Fabulous new girls enjoy your hoping and we will see you back here soon!

Simply Fabulous

Today IS simply fabulous! I'm so excited to say I will be remaining on the Getting Cricky design team for another term!! I can't tell you how much joy it has brought me to be part of this amazing group of ladies. They are also simply fabulous. I can't wait to get to know our "newbies" I'm sure this group will be just as fabulous as the last. I want to say a special Thank You to Kristal for keeping me on her team! If you would like to hop around a say hi to all the new gals and leave them a warm welcoming message (I know they are very excited about joining us) here is a list of the girls and their blogs :)

So in honor of all of this fabulousness here is some inspiration for you today. In honor of our new Getting Cricky DT

I used K Andrew's Fabulous Friend's set on this card along with S.E.I dp. The fun flower center are some notions I found in the wedding section at Hobby Lobby.  I'm pretty happy with how this card turned out :)

Now don't forget Kristal has 3 new sets ready for pre order. Here is what they look like:

I am just in love with these new sets and can't wait to have them in my hot little hands :) You can get a set for yourself by hopping over to Kristal's online store {www.kandrewdesingns.com}.

Now I know I said that I would have another challenge posted for my blog on Monday but I have decided that this month is too busy for me to keep up with everything. So starting in September (after my brother's wedding and my husband is back to school) I will start a challenge that will run for two weeks at a time. I hope you will a consider joining in on the fun :)

Operation Scrap Winners

Hi all :) I have been getting my new computer up and running all day. Transferring  files from the old computer, installing all the essential programs; Silhouette Studio, Adobe Photoshop Elements and a new browser. I then got lost in Photoshop (after a zillion updates and patches I didn't have on the old one) working with some of my images and recreating some of the brushes that I didn't care to transfer. Can I tell you how excited I am about my new updates, why didn't I do them earlier??? I even figured out how to get rid of that pesky white square behind the squirrel in my post signature, YAHOO!

Needless to say I didn't get the 45 welcome back to school cards finished for my DH's middle school staff, oops. Tomorrows another day, right?!

I have a few things to share with you today. First the winners from "Operation Scrap". Thanks for the name Jamie from Oohlalapaperie!
Because I loved all of your creations and I only had 8 of you join me in my mission, YOU ALL WIN :) So all of you who participated in my challenge please email me with your mailing address and I will send you all a little something fun for playing along. THANK YOU :)  You can email me your info at squirly_scrapper at hotmail dot com.

Now what would a post be without some inspiration? Here is a card I made a few weeks ago but haven't had a chance to get up yet.

I used K Andrew Designs Art Stamps Fashionable Friends on this set. The inside says "From one ole' bag to another". If you have been wanting some K Andrew stamps now is the time because she is having a 72 hour free shipping sale. Use this code at checkout freeshipfor72 now I'm a little late at posting this so HUSTLE over there I believe the code is good through Saturday 8/6.

The other think that I'm late at posting is Kristal's 3rd new set preview. Sympathetic Sayings and my favorite of the 3. This set will be larger than her other sets. I know this set will get LOTS of use!
Now I'm off to bed for tonight but stop back on Monday when I will start another challenge.

The Birds and The Bees

Welcome back my scrappy friends! I love that each of you takes the time to visit me and see what it is that my crafty little brain has to share with you :) If you are here for the first time I would love it if you would become one of my peeps by following me and becoming a Facebook friend. Don't forget I love reading your comments too, it is always the highlight of my bloggy day! In case you haven't seen I have a challenge on my blog right now. You can check it out by clicking {Here}. I will end this challenge on Friday August 5th and your chances are good right now because of low participation.

No on to my title for today... Can any of you guess what it stands for??? LOL! Well of course it's K Andrew Designs Art Stamps! Kristal's newest set is all about things with wings.

Don't you just love that this set includes some images??? I do, I do :) Did you know that all of Kristal's stamps are all high quality photo polymer made right here in the good ole USA! Not only that but a portion of EVERY single set sold is given to a charity that gives 85% or more back to the people it helps (some charities give as little as 5% back)! This particular set will help a fabulous charity called Elisabeth Glaser's Pediatric Aids Foundation. This program gives 87.5% to  prevent pediatric HIV infection and to eradicate pediatric AIDS through research, advocacy, and prevention and treatment programs.

Now I can't do a post without showing you something to get your creative juices flowing :) So here is a card I made with  K Andrew Design Art Stamps set Splashtastic Summer. All of the design paper and sticker embelishments are made with Simple Stories paper line 100 Days of Summer. I love their paper lines!

I hope you enjoyed today's creation :) I'll be back tomorrow with a preview of Kristal's third set Sympathetic Sayings, my personal favorite of the new releases! I'd love it if you hopped over to the K Andrew Designs Facebook page and tell her what your favorite of the three sets is. Tell her I sent you while you are there :)

Coffee and Tea K Andrew Designs New Release and some Simply Sunday

Whew, its Monday! I didn't think I would ever hear myself say "those" words, lol. The weekends in our house are so busy until after Labor Day weekend when my brother gets married. This last weekend was spent camping with some really great friends and now its all wedding. I did find some time to scrap a few cards in my spare time (bwahahaha). I say "scrap" because I am still on my mission to use up as many of my scraps as possible, I am determined :) Don't forget you can join MY CHALLENGE using your scraps and any K Andrew stamps that you have. Squirly Girl Creations also has a Facebook page now too, I'd love it if you would "like" me. All you have to do is click on the button on my side bar.

This weekends Simply Sunday Challenge over at Getting Cricky was positive thoughts and since I have been showcasing Kristal's Positive Thoughts stamp set all week this wasn't a hard one for me at all. So I used up a few more of my scraps this weekend to make these little cuties.
K Andrew Design Art Stamps, My Mind's Eye and Simple Stories (green polka dot)  patterned paper, Silhouette store cut (train), random buttons

My Minds Eye patterned paper, Tonic punch (butterfly), Dienamics die (doily), Spellbinders (circle), thriftstore find lace, Offrey ribbon and Maya Road stick pins

Now I hope you will make some thing that makes you happy and link up over at Getting Cricky! We'd love to see what you create!

Did you hear the news??? Kristal is releasing three more awesome sets :) Today I'm going to show you her Coffee and Tea mix and match set. $1 from every single one of these sets sold benefits a fabulous charity called Wayhouse for Women. This is a fabulous rehabiltation program for women and mothers who have a substance abuse problem. This program gives 89.6% to getting mothers back into their lives and with their family by ensuring they kick the habit and have the skills long term to not relapse!
Kristal is taking pre-orders on this set right now. So go over and reserve your set now to make sure you get you get yours while the getting is good :) I personally LOVE the font on this set!

Come back tomorrow to see Kristal's new set Winged things.
