12/9/11

Tis the season...

Well my crafty friends, as you can see I was unable to keep my promise to stay as motivated as I had hoped. That doesn't mean I haven't been motivated at all though. LOL. Yesterday I made 4 dozen spiced apple cider stuffed cookies and 22(!!) quarts of chex mix plus a fabulous dinner for my family.  I wish I had the time and energy to do a 12 days of Christmas countdown like some of the other bloggers that inspire me so much but with two little guys I seem to burn out after they are in bed. I'm sure that many of you can relate.

In the past few weeks of my life I have been a crafting fool getting ready for a craft fair at my local high school. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find the time to share all that I have been up to. I was also diagnosed with sleep apnea and I will be going on a CPAP machine as soon as my insurance approves everything. This would explain my major burn out and lack of energy ALL day long. Relief is in my near future, yeah! But today I thought I would share some of the crafty things I have been up to in no particular order. I hope you all enjoy and if I don't post again before Christmas day. Merry Christmas, I hope that you all enjoy your family, friends and loved ones. Safe travels to anyone on the road or in the air.

So here we go......
I love all the pretty wreaths I have been seeing online, so I decided to try my hand at one. I made rosettes and stacked them. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how this project turned out. And of coarse the picture does it no justice.

My second home decor project for this season was inspired by Natalie Denver. This girl is so talented and provides me with an amazing amount of inspiration. Plus she is from right here in Wisconsin! (hehe, I love that she is so close and that we might actually get to meet one day) check out her blog here to see her other creations. Dougnat Diaries. Now mine didn't turn out as fabulously as Natalie's but they have grown on me :)

Just a snapshot of what I have been up to. I hope you all enjoyed today's post. Now back to my holiday baking :)

Oh I love both of these projects! I have to admit that rosettes are not something I have tried, nor do they really excite me as much as they do some, but I LOVE this wreath! I love the layers rosettes - absolutely gorgeous! And those trees! I will go check out Natalie's trees because if they are better than yours, they must be amazing! I love these little trees of yours :) I am glad you will be getting relief from your sleep apnea - I hear that can just drain a person totally. Have a Merry Christmas and be safe!
