Getting Cricky Simply Sunday

Welcome to another fabulous Simply Sunday. If you have joined me from your dashboard thank you for being a follower of mine and make sure you hop over to Getting Cricky to see what the other designers have to inspire you with.  If you have hopped over  from Getting Cricky I would love it if you would consider becoming a follower of mine.

We are featuring the Freedom Isn't Free stamp set from K Andrew Designs this Sunday. $1 from every one of these sets sold benefits Intrepid Fallen Heroes for those service men and women who are seriously wounded/disfigured while serving overseas service. This set is perfect for making cards for our service people here and over seas.

Now I'm going to apologize in advance for the quality of these pictures I was having problems uploading the ones I took with my Nikon so I had to resort to taking pictures with my little camera and they are very grainy. But you get the idea.

I used six stamps from the Freedom Isn't Free set. To make the non embossed area on my card I used an A2 sized piece of chipboard with a square cut out of it on the outside of my embossing folder and ran it through my cuttlebug with the C plate rather than 2 B plates.

Those of you that remember our monthly hop will remember my navy kids. Well I tried my hand at the little cuties again but I thought I would make the army girl this time around. I think she turned out just as freakin' adorable as the navy kids and now I have a better idea on the sizing, lol! This cutter file is from Little Scraps of Heaven Desingns. Please check her out she has some adorable cut files and a sale this week! If you spend $20 you receive 55% off by entering the coupon code xmasjul at the check out and who doesn't love a sale. I used my Silhouette to cut out my little army girl. Speaking of Silhouette they are releasing a new 12x12 cutter in October, I can't wait! I saw the prototype at CHA :)

While I was at the consumer portion of the show at CHA I picked up a Bow-Easy at the Taylored Expression booth and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. My bows are perfect every time now and its super easy to use. You can pick one up at their online store.

Well that is all from me today. But check back tomorrow, I've made up a group of mini cards to share with you.  If you have time please check out our Operation Owl Thank You hop from yesterday. There is a grandprize and lots of other blog candy as well. I love reading your comments so thank you to those of you who have taken the time to leave them for me! I have the word verification turned off so commenting is quick and easy here :)
