Exciting News!!

I'm so thrilled! I got a call for a job interview today... I applied quite awhile ago and was being a little silly when I filled out the application with my answers. I figured I would never hear from them, so you can imagine my shock which quickly turned to excitement today when they called and asked if I was still interested in interviewing for a position in their store!!! I can hardly contain myself! If I'm going to go back to work why not have a job that is my passion!!! Its like a dream, nobody wake me up, please:) My husband and I were just talking about me finding a job part time to get out of the house and have some social interaction and to add the cherry to the cake this job is in the area we will be moving to. I told them that I want to interview for part-time but if it works out I just might be interested in going to a full time position when the house sells and we live closer :)

My interview is on September 4th so I will keep you posted. I may not be posting some of my recent projects on here until after the interview. I have to have something to surprise them with!

Sorry

As you can all see the summer has taken me away from my blog. I wanted anyone who might check to know that I have not forgotten about it or you and I plan to post again soon. I have made many things this summer, I unfortunately just didn't have time to craft and keep up my blog. Some of the things that you can look forward to me posting are wedding invitations that I made for my girlfriend. A few layouts and a few cards. I have also taken a ton of pictures of my son this summer so you might even see a few of those here :) I will try to have something new up by Thursday so please check back!

Picture Purse

Here is the picture purse that I promised. It was so fun and easy to make, this is a perfect project for the scor-pal. I used Basic Grey's Archaic collection and some Bazill cardstock for this project. This would also be a good project to use up some scraps if you have an abundance like me. You need one full sheet of 12x12 paper and 10 3 1/2" squares from scraps. If you would like complete instructions please pm me and I can type them up. I plan to add pictures of my son and send this to my grandma :) I also added some pictures I took today of Ian... Hope you enjoy!

Great Projects, No Pictures, Stay Tuned

Wow! What a wonderful weekend the weather couldn't be more beautiful, I can't wait anymore for summer! Despite all the beautiful weather I did get some crafting done. Unfortunately, because of it I didn't get any pictures taken to show you, so you'll just have to wait another day to see the adorable little picture purse and the wall hanging I made for my best friends living room. I hope everyone had a great weekend too and please come back to see the great projects I've been up to.

Been Busy Crafting Away...

Graduation Invitations

Not only did I finish the flash cards in the previous post, I decided that my scrap bin was too full and made some cards to wittle it down to a managable size. So I made some cards for friends and two picture cards for my son's Great-Grandma's. I also made invites (20 of them) for my husband's cousin's graduation party. The pictures don't do the invitations much justice.... Thank You to Amanda K. who made the .cut file for the Guitar Hero Guitar on the front of the invites. *(Note- no money was made, these invites were a gift)* Here is what I came up with for your viewing pleasure :)
Scrap Bin Creations

...And The Big Reveal....

So I promised I would post a fantastic project that I have been working on in my free-time. Sorry it took me so long, I don't get much free-time. So here it is, I made these flash cards as a learning tool for my son. I probably could have just bought flash cards for alot cheaper but I wanted to use my cricut to prove to my husband it is worth the investment in all the cartridges I own and I thought this would make them more fun and special... I am so extremely happy with how they turned out! I also laminated them after I took pictures for you to make them more durable. Hope you enjoy :)
